Hour 4

Broadcasting from the Arrowhead Building Supply Studios and featuring the www.CallTammy.com Real Estate Listener Line, it's Hour Four of Allman in the Morning! This hour, Jamie speaks with author and CEO of Context Productions, Kristie Kiernan Bouryal about the third in her Discovering Heroes series, “9/11 Courage and Tributes.” The events of 9/11/2001 mark history's deadliest attack on American soil, yet you may be surprised to know that many teachers do not teach about 9/11 in their classrooms. Bouryal's books are based on true events. Her parents, John Kiernan, a former lieutenant in the Fire Department of the City of New York, and Benita Kiernan, a former nurse, inspired the series. They are the grandparent characters in the series who lovingly inform their grandchildren about 9/11, and the fallen and everyday heroes, by responding to the kids' many questions. Plus we replay our conversation from earlier in the day with Representative Mike Bost (IL-12).
