Broadcasting from the Arrowhead Building Supply Studios and featuring the www.CallTammy.com Real Estate Listener Line, it's Hour Two of Allman in the Morning! This hour, Jamie discusses the news of the day, and speaks with Mitchell Zuckoff. Mitchell is a professor of journalism at Boston University, and the author of numerous books, including 13 Hours (made into a movie), Lost in Shangri-La, and Frozen in Time. As a member of the Spotlight Team (highlighted in the movie “Spotlight”) at the Boston Globe, he was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for investigative reporting and the winner of numerous national awards. His latest work is FALL AND RISE: The Story of 9/11. On the morning of September 11, 2001, the bestselling author and journalist was on book leave from the Boston Globe. His editor called: two airplanes had struck the Twin Towers of New York’s World Trade Center in an apparent terrorist attack. Both passenger jets had taken off from Boston’s Logan Airport. Zuckoff rushed to the newsroom and wrote the lead story that appeared on Page One of the Globe the next day. For months after, Zuckoff wrote about the attacks, the perpetrators, the victims, and their families. So began an abiding commitment to the true story of that day, culminating in FALL AND RISE: The Story of 9/11.

Hour 3

Broadcasting from the Arrowhead Building Supply Studios and featuring the www.CallTammy.com Real Estate Listener Line, it's Hour Three of Allman in the Morning! The events of 9/11/2001 mark history's deadliest attack on American soil, yet you may be surprised to know that many teachers do not teach about 9/11 in their classrooms. Our guest, Author and CEO of Context Productions, Kristie Kiernan Bouryal, aims to help rectify this with the release of the third in her Discovering Heroes series, “9/11 Courage and Tributes.”  Bouryal's books are based on true events. Her parents, John Kiernan, a former lieutenant in the Fire Department of the City of New York, and Benita Kiernan, a former nurse, inspired the series. They are the grandparent characters in the series who lovingly inform their grandchildren about 9/11, and the fallen and everyday heroes, by responding to the kids' many questions.

Hour 4

This hour, Jamie discusses the news of the day, and speaks to Jim Carafano, a leading expert in national security and foreign policy challenges, and the vice president of Heritage's Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy and the E.
